 Dongdaemun Shopping Complex was founded in December 1970 as the Asia’s largest single market, and over for 40 years, it has constantly received attention and love as a world-renowned shopping center, specializing in clothing materials providing high-quality products at reasonable prices.

 Dongdaemun Fashion Festival is held in Dongdaemun Fashion Town, a shopping Mecca in Seoul. Celebrating ‘Chuseok’ one of the biggest holidays in Korea, the festival is in held early September, throwing shopping events with huge discount sales. Plus, shoppers may also enjoy outdoor fashion shows, cultural performances and citizen participatory events.

 The major events of the upcoming Dongdaemun Fashion Festival includes promotional events, shopping events with huge discounts, outdoor fashion show by creative designers in Dongdaemun, participatory events for shoppers, and a range of exciting stages of local celebrities and professional performances.

Dongdaemun Design Plaza. The landmark is the centerpiece of South Korea's fashion hub and popular tourist destination, Dongdaemun, featuring a walkable park on its roofs, large global exhibition spaces, futuristic retail stores and restored parts of the Seoul fortress.

The DDP has been one of the main reasons for Seoul's designation as World Design Capital in 2010. Construction started in 2009 and it was officially inaugurated on March 21, 2014

Myeong-dong

Myeong-dong is mostly a commercial area, being one of Seoul's main shopping and tourism districts.

 Myeongdong is one of Seoul’s main shopping districts featuring mid-to-high priced retail stores and international brand outlets, including Lacoste, Polo Ralph Lauren, Forever 21, Bulgari and Louis Vuitton, as well as Korean cosmetics brands such as Nature Republic, Missha, The Face Shop and Skin Food. It is a particularly popular area for young people and tourists as a center for fashion and sight-seeing. Several large shopping centers and department stores are in the district including Lotte Department Store, Shinsegae Department Store, Migliore, M Plaza, and Noon Square

 Many brand name shops and department stores line the streets and alleys. Common products for sale include clothes, shoes, and accessories. Unlike Namdaemun or Dongdaemun, many designer brands are sold in Myeong-dong.

They provide foreign languages such as Japanese, Chinese, English and etc.

 The Cathedral Church of the Virgin Mary of the Immaculate Conception also known as Myeongdong Cathedral, is a prominent Latin-rite Roman Catholic church located in the Myeongdong neighborhood of Jung-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It is the seat of the Archbishop of Seoul, Andrew Yeom Soo-jung, the highest Catholic prelate in the country.

Dedicated in honor of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, the principal patroness of Korea and the Korean people, the cathedral is a community landmark and a notable symbol of Catholicism in Korea. The cathedral church is one of the earliest and most notable examples of Gothic Revival architecture in Korea.

Myeongdong Festival has been hosted since 1982 to vitalize the commercial area and encourage tourism. It is usually held twice a year: from the end of March to the middle of April in spring, and the month of September in autumn. 

Parades, music and dance performances, fashion shows and other spectacles are part of the festivities. Many shops and stores offer product sales and discounts during this time as well.

Gapyeong county for summer vacation

Gapyeong

Gapyeong is a county in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. well known for its natural beauty. It borders the mountainous province of Gangwon on the east. The north branch of the Han River flows through the area. Several reservoirs and resorts are located in the county.

Gapyeong is a refreshing tourist destination featured with valleys, water plays, resorts (leisure pension so called "pension" in Korea) and more.
